This 8-hour workshop, broken into two 4-hour lessons, is an advanced level course for orthodontists and dentists and their OMT providers: SLPs, RDHs, IBCLCs, PTs, and OTs. Attendees will learn to create a cohesive team, focus referral expectations, promote clear communication, and create predictable and standardized outcomes.

Learning Outcomes:

1. Meet the immediate team members and understand their areas of expertise.

2. Construct a referral hierarchy based on signs and symptoms, patient age, and barriers to access.

3. Standardize reporting expectations between team members.

4. Create common language for educating patients and families.

Linda D'Onofrio, MS, CCC-SLP (linda@donofrioslp.com) is a board-certified speech-language pathologist with a private practice in Portland Oregon. She completed her Masters in Communication Disorders from the University of Oregon, completed her medical externship at Oregon Health Sciences University, and her clinical fellowship at the Oregon VA Medical Center. For 20 years, she has specialized in craniofacial disorders, structural and sensory-motor based speech disorders, feeding and oromyofunctional disorders, social cognitive disorders, and developmental speech language disorders. She works with toddlers, school-aged children, teens, adults, and the elderly. She lectures internationally on craniofacial growth and function.
